Udupi: A complaint has been registered at the  Manipal Police Station for allegedly impersonating an exam candidate under group 14 courses at Manipal varsity. The complaint was registered against Anshool Grover for impersonating applicant by the varsity.

It is said that Anshool Grover from Haryana took an online examination under group 14 courses on Feb 19 after he filed an application to appear for the examination. Having done well, he was called for counselling on Mar 10 and he appeared and opted for a Doctor of Medicine (MD) seat. He produced all documents sought by the varsity on May 20.

The varsity found discrepancies in the biometrics of the day of counseling and the day of provisional admission. Also photographs of Anshool Grover did not match, it is learnt.

The varsity has now filed a complaint with Manipal Police Station and investigation is underway.
