Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) pensioners’ association staged a protest at the Palike head office on Tuesday demanding timely payment of pension.

The protest started at about 8 am and went on for three hours.

The pensioners stated that they were not getting their pension on time. They claimed that they were getting the pension only by the 15th or 20th of every month.

The pensioners submitted a memorandum to the BBMP Commissioner M Lakshminarayana, seeking measures to pay pension on time.
