Bangalore, Apr 5: At the backdrop of the preparations for assembly elections are under way in state, Election Commission of India instructed the state government to transfer senior IAS and IPS officers.

Accordingly, Mysore DCP for law and order Basavaraj Malagatti was replaced by Santanu Sinha, but specific transfer orders were not issued to DCP Malagatti.  Chikka Ballapura Deputy Commissioner Manjula was replaced by Belgaum ZP chief executive officer Shankar.

Davanagere SP Laburam was transferred as DCP of Bangalore (East). 

Martin was appointed as SP of Ramanagar district. Ravi D Channannanavar was transferred as SP of Davanagere district.

Abhinav Kher was transferred as SP of Chitradurga district, Ramesh was transferred as DCP law and order of Hubli.
