Bangalore:In a shocking incident, a four month old baby  has been stolen from a parked autorickshaw when its mother and grand mother were at a nearby medical store at Uttarahalli Circle on September 18, Wednesday.

As per reports, the baby boy’s mother was returning home from the hospital along with her mother and the baby when they stopped enroute to purchase medicines. Initially,  only the baby’s mother Jyothi got out of the auto  while the grandmother and the baby were inside. But when she fell short of money, she asked her mother to come along. The old woman left the baby on the seat and  went to the medical store.

However, by the time they returned the baby was missing and the autorickshaw driver pretended ignorant saying he was speaking over mobile phone. A search on the busy road proved futile and finally the Subrahmanyapura police station was informed. The police are now scanning the CCTV footages  of the busy junction. Police said even the driver would be questioned in this case.
