Bangalore: I have great respect to Governor who has good opinion on me. However, its owing to circumstances faced in my term as CM, I was unable to honor his words, regretted the former CM B S Yeddyurappa.
Addressing the media person, Yeddyurappa said that Governor H R Bharadwaj had advised him in several occasion. If I had taken the Governor’s suggestion to withdraw Bellary mining barons – Reddys from the cabinet, the state administration would have been dissolved. He had brought the advices of Governor to the attention of BJP high command. In the absence of clear stand from high command, he was unable to take a decisive stance. At that prevailing situation, it was inevitable to compromise with Reddy brothers to sustain the state administration, added Yeddyurappa.
The Governor has appreciated my way of running the state administration. There were several occasions wherein the confrontations occurred between the Governor and state administration. However, I feel happy that the Governor said that I have run the government efficiently in spite of chaos, said Yeddyurappa.
