
Bengaluru: With the Election Commission of India is all set to announce the Lok Sabha election dates soon, the state government announced an increase in the incentive per liter of milk supplied by the farmers.
From April 1, the milk suppliers will get Rs.6 per liter of milk they supply to the milk unions as against the Rs 5 received by them now.
Making an announcement in this regard at Kolar, Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy informed that this increase will help around 30 lakh families across the state.
Meanwhile, Bengaluru Milk Producers’ Union (BAMUL) increased the milk procurement price by Rs.1.
According to the authorities, the procurement price has been increased from Rs.24 to Rs.25 keeping in mind a sudden increase in the fooder and other prices.
