Bengaluru: High Court advocate S Nataraja Sharma, founder of the Janma Bhumi foundation alleged that Rs. 500 crores scam has been reported in the state medical colleges in the academic year 2019-20.

He alleged that the officials from the medical education department, private colleges and the agents are hand in gloves with one another.
“In total, 212 seats are filled in the mop-up round violating all the norms. This issue is brought to the notice of the medical education department, which has written to the union health ministry. But no action has been taken,” he alleged.
“The IT raids on the two educational institutions exposed the dirt in medical education admission. The government must hand over the entire scam to the CBI,” he urged.

“The KEA is the only designated authority to fill medical seats in the state. But those admissions which are not approved by the KEA have also been done at the colleges and deemed universities,” he charged
