Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday observed that the State Government’s action of setting up ACB was like demolishing the building, built by forefathers, with the use of excavator.

The court further observed that after demolishing the building, the current situation has left with no roof for protection.
The court was hearing the plea of by Dr V L Nandish, a professor in Mandya Medical College, seeking to quash the proceedings against him by the Lokayukta on the grounds of delay in probing the case against him.
The state government defended its stand over Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) submitting that around 30 stations in each district would registers complaints and that it has already deputed staff with six ACB zonal centers in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Davanagere, Belagavi and Kalaburagi. The district police commissioners will head the ACB zonal centers.
The court questioned the state government that when every department was centered in Bengaluru, was just one zonal centre sufficient for the city.
