60 CCTVs, 750 smart lights to make Cubbon Park safer

Bengaluru: The state horticulture department has decided to install 60 CCTVs and 750 smart lights inside the Cubbon park to make it safer.

The BESCOM has already started the works of installing 750 smart lights and these light poles will be used to install the CCTVs. On Friday, Bengaluru Central Lok Sabha member PC Mohan laid the foundation stone for the works of the installation of the CCTVs.

Speaking on the occasion, PC Mohan observed that the CCTVs and the smart lights are expected to make the park safer for all especially women and children. “The modern safety equipment has changed the way we are living as they ensure enhanced security,” he said.

According to the horticulture department authorities, the works of both smart light and CCTV installation will be completed in the next 10 days.
