New Delhi: An all-party meeting was held on Monday December 2 at New Delhi addressing the social, economical and political issues. In an attempt to schedule the upcoming winter session of Parliament that begins on Thursday December 5 onwards, all the wings expressed the subjects they would attend to.
In another random attack, the principal opposition party, BJP, demanded a discussion on internal security with special focus on the serial blasts that took place before Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Patna on October 27 during the meeting.
Addressing to Sushma Swaraj the BJP members in Lok Sabha said, “We have asked the government for a discussion on internal security, especially over the Patna blasts.”
On which Sushma Swaraj informed the media personals saying, that a debate on atrocities against women and functioning of JPC on 2G spectrum will be organized. Moreover we will also like to discuss price rise, slow down of economy and other important issues before the country after the meeting. But she did not comment on internal security, in the Patna blasts.
Meanwhile, the Left parties want a debate on the worsening communal situation in the country in the wake of the Muzaffarnagar riots in Uttar Pradesh which killed over 60 and displaced nearly 45,000 people two months ago.
The Samajwadi Party has also threatened to stall the proceedings if the women’s Bill and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe bill on quota in promotion which will be tabled by the UPA government, under the issue that is likely to disrupt the winter session is the Women’s Reservation Bill
