RK Pachauri chargesheeted in sexual harassment case

New Delhi: A chargesheet has been filed by the Delhi police against The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) Executive Vice Chairman RK Pachauri, who is facing sexual harassment charges.

Metropolitan magistrate Shivani Chauhan has set April 23 as the date of hearing. The chargesheet runs into more than 1400 pages.

A 29-year-old female researcher had accused Pachauri of threatening her after seeing her talking to a colleague in 2014. She also had leveled allegations of sexual harassment on Pachauri when he was the Director General of the Delhi based TERI office in February last year.
 Pachauri who is out on bail has denied the sexual harassment charges.

A former employee of TERI had also made similar the allegations against the 75-yer-old-world renowned scientist, this February.
