Mysuru: February 29 is indeed a special day for this date would find place in the calender after four years. While many expectant mothers were reluctant to give birth on this day, simply because they would get to celebrate their children’s birthday once in four years, Cheluvamba Hospital in Mysuru witnessed 26 childbirths.

Mostly hailing from lower middle class families, these 26 women who gave birth to their babies on this day were unaware of the fact that February 29 would arrive only after four years.

However, the arrival of babies on this special day has left 26 families happy as they are prepared to celebrate birthdays once in four years now.
