Hyderabad: Weeks after two Chennai medical students were nabbed for throwing a dog off a building’s roof and filming her plunging to the ground, a video has emerged of puppies being killed in most cruel way by few boys in Hyderabad.
In the video few boys are seen setting three puppies on fire after tying them together and covering them with hay, dry grass and twigs. The puppies are heard squealing in terror. One of the pups is seen trying to wriggle out of the burning pile. The boy filming the video is heard egging his friends on. They waited till the puppies were burnt completely and later uploaded on facebook by the culprits.

Following the gruesome act of animal abuse, a complaint has been registered by animal activists Shreya Paropkari and Jayasimha Nuggehalli. The complainant stated that the boys gathered flammable material and burnt the puppies alive and killed them. One of the perpetrators recorded the entire incident and is heard instructing and instigating the other culprits to set fire.

Musheerabad sub-inspector B Ravi Kumar Reddy who is investigating the case iis trying to identify the persons involved. “We have not arrested anybody so far. We are still trying to identify the persons in the video. Prima facie, they all appear to be minors. The case is under investigation,” he said.

According to reports, police have taken five suspects into custody and are interrogating them.
