Bihar: As the Lok Sabha election is approaching, a clear question of compatibility arises amidst the alliance of the NDA, that is the JDU. Nitesh Kumar, leader of JDU seems to be unsatisfied by the treatment of the NDA regime, say the sources.
If this information turns to a reality, undoubtedly the JDU gets its roots detached from the NDA alliance, and in 2019 elections, the party will stand as a single entity. If the trend continues, it is going to be a rough terrain for the NDA, in the journey of Lok Sabha election.
After detailed discussions on sharing of seats, the NDA-JDU has come to common terms with the numbers. Out of 40 Lok Sabha seats, 20 seats go with BJP, 12 with the JDU and five with the Lok Janashakthi. It was pre-decided that if the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party was to partake along with the JDU, then two seats were reserved for it from the BJP quota.
The proportionate figure of 20:20 seat division between the NDA-JDU has now changed to 20:12. This has led to distress in the JDU and upset its leader Nitesh Kumar.
Based on the developments, the speculations are that the JDU will depart from the NDA alliance and play a pivotal role in the formation of Mahagathbandhan.
