Bengaluru: Amidst the regional alliance meet, that the Chief Minister of Karnataka Kumaraswamy is engaged in, this time the meet turned out to be a matter of surprise, as it was a well-maintained secrecy meet between the CM and Managing Director of Profit Shoe Company Bodepudi Siva Koteswara Rao, of Vijayawada on August 31.

CM Kumaraswamy not only had an agenda of having a meet over a cup of coffee but also wanted to extend a marriage proposal for his son Nikhil. Although the sources said that the marriage would be within the Vokkaliga community, it was quite clear that an opinion from Bodepudi Rao’s family and his only daughter is taken.

Devegowda answered the questions on the meet and said that it is a private affair and should be given a space for the family. He also said that the talk on marriage will be only taken forward if the girl accepts it. CM Kumaraswamy led his delegation to meet AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi, after which he headed towards Kanakadurgamma temple in Indrakeeladri of Andhra Pradesh. After the temple visit, he met Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu to discuss political affairs. He was accompanied by his wife Anita Kumaraswamy, Congress leaders Ramakrishnam Raju and Lagadapati Rajagopal, on a meet with Industrialist Rao family in Vijayawada.

As the news took its momentum, Nikhil was stormed by the media. In the year 2015, Nikhil is said to have engaged to Kannada film producer KCN Mohan Gowda’s daughter, which could not make it. Nikhil is on the threshold for his second release Seetharama Kalyana, next month. The marriage speculation was diluted when CM Kumaraswamy said it was just a friendly meet and no marital discussions took place.
