Son of legendary Telugu actor and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister Harikrishna (61), a former Rajya Sabha member and state minister, sustained critical head injuries when the car in which he was travelling along with two others overturned near Anneparthi.

Soon after the actor was declared dead on Wednesday, four staff of Kamineni Hospital at Narketpally-a ward boy, maid and two nurses-had taken a selfie with the body and uploaded it on social media. The image soon went viral and drew a lot of flak from the public.

In response to the act, the hospital, suo moto, fired the erring staff members and even filed a complaint against them with the Narketpally police. The hospital’s management has also apologised to Harikrishna’s family members for the behaviour of the staff.
