Bangalore exporter dies in Nairobi attack

Bangalore:A 50-year-old exporter lost his life in the ongoing terror attack in the Westgate shopping mall in Kenya’s capital Nairobi that began on Saturday.

The dece­a­sed, B.N. Sudarshan, was a resident of Hejjala in Bidadi. He left the city on Friday and was in Nairobi during transit for six hours as his final destination was Ghana. Tragedy struck in those six hours when he went shopping at the mall. The attack was suspected to be carried out by al Qaeda-linked al-Shabab militants.

Sudarshan, who has an office at Ghana, left Bidadi on Friday. Speaking to this paper, his brother, B.N. Ramprasad, said that Sudarshans death was confirmed by the Indian High Commission in Kenya on Monday.

Sudarshans body will be brought to the city on Thursday morning.
