The Jesuit Community of the Holy cross church along with the members of the Konkani Association organized a Konkani retreat at Nasik, the first of its kind. Lent is a time of spiritual renewal and grace and it was made possible through this kokani retreat. It was for the first time in the city of Nashik that such a spiritual event was possible.

The main retreat preacher was Rev. Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes, SVD of Divine call Center, Mulky, Mangalore. The retreat was organised for two days i.e. 23rd March 2019, Saturday between 5:30 pm to 9:30pm and on 24th March 2019, Sunday between 3:00pm to 9:00pm

Rev. Fr. Anil Kiran Fernandes preached on the topics on deliverance from the bondage of sin, fear, lust, greed, spiritual bondage and 5 keys to be in Christ.

During the praise and worship and adoration, many were touched by the Lord. The retreat was heart touching and transforming. The crowd of nearby 400 plus faithful from all the parishes attended.

We pray and wish to have such konkani retreat every year in our city and all the faithful are requested to attend such retreats in big numbers.

A message from the Church:
“Our special thanks to our all the konkani associate members, choir members and all the members who have given their support for this retreat. Also thanking all the donors for their contribution for success of this first time konkani retreat in our Nashik city. We thank the almighty for his abundant blessing and graces during the days of the retreat.
Thank you and God bless all.”
