Mangaluru: “Life should be dedicated to serve others. It is possible only by positive approach. One should avoid negative thoughts which will bounce back and have adverse effect on health. So allow your inner spirit of joy to nourish and not to perish,”said Padma Prasad Hegde, Senior advocate and Chairman of Karnataka BAR association as the Chief Guest while addressing the aspirants of ‘Panchsow Ka Josh’ competition hosted by Vikas PU College on Saturday, August 27.
Creating a livelihood for today’s and tomorrow’s youth through job creation or self-employment is the critical need of the hour. Keeping this theme in mind, Vikas had tried to inspire confidence in tomorrow’s youth to enhance their potential through a unique program-‘500 Ka Josh’. A seed funding of Rs 500 was given to each team and each school was given the liberty of enrolling maximum 10 teams. All these teams were expected to develop innovative, aesthetically brilliant and creative models which will benefit the society and implement the same in the near future.
The winners of this event in 3 categories were awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Chiranth PT and Anvith A Hebbar from Sharada Vidyaniketan, Talapady won for the Best Business and commercial model. Rahul M, Sela Roshni Shri and Melita Carista Valder from Delhi Public Model won for Best Innovative science model. Damodhar Prabhu, Chaitra Shet, and Sharvari Navada from Canara High School Urva won for Aesthetically Brilliant model.
Karthikeya, Rajath Rao K N and Anagha S from Sharada Vidyalaya Kodialbail won the Jury’s award and a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
Veena Gangolli compered the event and Jazeela proposed the vote of thanks.
