Rural sports day of Roshni Nilaya at Allipade brings slice of village life to students

Allipade: Students of Roshni Nilaya School of Social work had an experience of a lifetime as they took part in Rural sports day at Allipade in Bantwal, on August 27.
Chief whip Ivan D’Souza who was the chief guest on the occasion said, “This is a unique programme where students from city come to know about the rural life. The youth must know about the rich culture of Tulunadu and programmes like rural sports.”

Allipade church parish priest Fr Gregory Pereira inaugurated the programme and Bantwal traffic ASI Chandrashekaraiah lit the sports torch.

ASI Chandrashekaraiah, Kambala buffalo owner Ibrahim, arts lecturer Naveen of Roshni college were felicitated on the occasion.

Gram panchayath members, lecturers were present. All College Students Union president Mithun Sequeira welcomed and former student Prakash rendered vote of thanks. Mubarish compered the programme.

Students participated in various competitions on paddy field.
