Mysuru: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a day marked for channelising the inner peace and celebrating the essence of Yoga, around 40 visually challenged students from Ranga Rao Memorial School for Disabled and more than 1,000 employees of Cycle Pure Agarbathies from its across units will be participating in an initiative organised by the district administration to establish Mysuru as World’s Yoga Capital. The city will be witnessing 60,000 people performing together at Mysore Race Course on June 21.

A Yoga teacher appointed by the district administration is training the students and employees for an hour on a daily basis to help them master their performance. It takes more skill and planning for a teacher to train the visually challenged students. The instructions to blind students should be clear, concise and direct, giving an overview of the pose and a sense of its direction. Tactile instruction or touching the students with accompanying verbal instruction, is also helpful occasionally.

Apart from extending their support to this activity, Cycle Pure Agarbathies also encourages their employees and students to inculcate healthy practices like Yoga in their day to day life. Yoga, is an ancient Indian act that rejuvenates body and soul. It helps in regaining inner-peace. This Indian ancient practice enables people to relax.

Commenting on the initiative, Arjun Ranga, Managing Director, Cycle Pure Agarbathies, says, “Yoga is an extremely healthy lifestyle that according to us, people from all walks of life and age brackets should adopt. Our city Mysuru is deeply rooted with the ancient practice of Yoga. Hence it certainly qualifies to be World’s Yoga Capital. We appreciate this initiative taken by the administration and extend our support wholeheartedly. We are also very excited to perform on International Yoga Day for which the students and staff are been given professional training daily.”

The event will be a platform to celebrate the spirit of Yoga and will help in strengthening city’s position as a spiritual place. Also, Mysuru has been an abode to numerous expats. The city has grown as one of the greatest places to purify soul and mind. Mysuru’s aura makes it a peaceful place, elevating the Yogic experience.
