Mangaluru: The ninth edition of Alva’s Pragati-2017 will be held on June 24 and 25 in Alva’s Vidyagiri campus at Moodabidri to showcase 200 premiere companies.

Addressing a press meet here on June 15, Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee of Alva’ Education Foundation said the inauguration of Alva’s Pragati-2017 will be held on June 24 at Vidyagiri at 9:30 am by State Minister for Sports and Youth affairs Pramodh Madwaraj. Former state minister Abhayachandra Jain will preside over the function. Vinay Shetty, Non-executive Director of NMC Healthcare, Abu Dhabi will be the chief guest. Alva’s Education Foundation’s Dr. M Mohan Alva, Trustee Amarnath will attend the programme.

Alva’s Pragati-2017 features the participation of top recruiters representing major sectors such as IT, ITeS, Manufacturing, Sales, Retail, Banking and Finance, Hospitality, Healthcare, Education and NGO. There will be a large number of openings for graduates in the fields such as Medical and para-Medical, Engineering, Arts, Commerce and Management, Basic science, Nursing ITI, Diploma and skilled manpower with PUC and SSLC.

Prominent companies in IT sector like Amazon, MindTree, Oracle, Sarvaha Systems Pvt Ltd, Codecraft, Quinnox, CES Ltd and Tech Mahindra will take part in the drive.

Highest openings at Alvas Pragati-2017 are available for BSc, BCom, BBM, BA and basic graduation degree holders. Companies from North and Central India, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are participating.
