Mangaluru: AIMIT IT Magis Club conducted the ‘Charity Week’ in remembrance of Mother Teresa from August 22 to September 2 at AIMIT College, Mangaluru.
As part of the Charity Week, various events such as Scramble Words, Essay Writings, Collage Making, Selfie, Drawing, Quiz etc. The main purpose of the “Charity Week” was to donate to the poor and old age homes who reside at St Antony Ashram.
Prior to visit to ashram Fr. Denzil Lobo addressed the students at the college. The Dean of IT department Santhosh Rebello was also present.
On September 3, members IT Magis Club of AIMIT visited St Antony ashram. They were welcomed by the Director of St Antony ashram Fr.Onil D’souza and briefed about the ashram where 400 destitutes live.
Members of the IT Magis Club of AIMIT spent time with the old and energetic inmates of the ashram. The students bonded with the inmates, shared their joy and love, making heart to heart talk with. Especially inmates Delphine, Henry, Mariya, Arogya and Elisa built a special bond and interacted with the students.
There were 54 students along with faculty-in charge Suman Lasrado. Aravind Prabhu was also present during the visit.
