Late on Thursday night, a 24-year-old man was killed in Sector 82, close to a private institution. Two people were arrested by the police. It was said that a dispute over a woman was the cause of the crime.
Based on the available data, Karanbir Singh, a resident of United Society in Sector 68, was identified as the victim. The family of Karanbir is from the Jalandhar district’s Nakodar town. Karanbir’s sibling resides overseas. He worked as a contract employee in the RTO office while living with his parents in Mohali.
According to DSP (city-2) Harsimran Singh Bal, an investigation has been opened at the Aero City Police station under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy) and 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
According to DSP Bal, the early inquiry indicates that there was a fight between the perpetrators and the victim regarding a woman, and as a result, both of them strangled Karanbir Singh.
“In his car, both accused brought Karanbir to a Sohana private hospital. They both left the hospital, leaving the automobile behind, after the medics told them that Karanbir had passed away. DSP Bal stated, “We have the accused’s hospital CCTV footage, and our squads are already pursuing them.”
Pritpal Singh, the case’s complainant, claimed to have learned on Thursday that Karanbir had passed away and that two people had abandoned him in a hospital in Sohana. The complainant claimed that Prabal Tytus and his unnamed accomplice were two of the individuals who left Karanbir.
Regarding the reason behind the murder, Pritpal Singh stated that Karanbir’s friendship with a woman who attends a private institution in Sector 82 caused Prabal to become enraged, which in turn caused a fight that resulted in Karanbir’s death.
