Las Vegas is definitely going a long and is certainly off to a great start. This young star won his second successive title at the UJGA World Stars Junior Golf event in Las Vegas, following his win in San Diego last week.
Hailing from a small village called Isra, Haryana, this 10 year old whose father is a milkman by profession, is more than estatic about his score. He achieved a score of 106 in three rounds, five strokes ahead of two Americans, Justin Dang and Sihan Sandhu as well as Thailand’s Pongsapak Laopakdee, in the 9-10 years boys category at Angel Par.

Jaglan addressing the gathering, who cheered him on, thanked his family, his coach (former golfer Nonita Lal Qureshi), golf club and school, while maintaining that he expected no shortcuts.

“My dad says the day I fly, I die. I don’t want to die. I want to stay grounded,” the young prodigysaid in an interview, also adding that this achievement was a dream come true. “”It was all because of my family’s support, my coach, my school which helped me in the US and my golf club DGC for giving me all facilities for playing.”

His parents were also delighted with the news. Jaglan’s mother, Anjala Jaglan, in an interview with ANI, thanked her son’s coach for his performance. “I am very happy that he has come first for the second time, there is one more tournament coming up…I wish that he keeps working hard and winning tournaments. I spoke to him after victory he was happy,” she said.

Jaglan started playing golf at the age of five and regularly practiced in the fields. He has been training under Qureshi since he was seven and has already won over 100 tournaments.
