Theater director T S Nagabharan urges not to disregard Visual Media

Mysore: One should not undermine the visual media that is integral part of people, said veteran stage artiste and director T S Nagabharana.

Nagabharana was speaking at the concluding function of extra-curricular activities during the function held at Maharaja College, here on Thursday May 2.

Nagabharana expressed displeasure over media that is glorifying the crimes.  The media plays key role in enriching lives.  The theater exemplifies human values among the visual media.  The cultural base can enrich lives.  If one is aware of his future, he will live through the future, said Nagabharana.

Mysore University vice-chancellor Professor K S Rangappa after inaugurating the programme, said that science and technology has flourished beyond imagination that has to be better utilized by the students to enhance their knowledge.  Mysore University is world renowned and the each student has the responsibility to maintain that honour, urged Professor Rangappa.

The students from other colleges were arriving to Maharaja College in order to attend the classes in the past.  Meanwhile, the situation has arisen now, wherein the students bunk the classes, Professor Rangappa expressed his deep concern over this.

The programme director Sumana Kittoor, principal Professor Sa Na Gayatri, administrator Nanje Gowda, extra-curricular activities Committee convener Dr J Shankarappa were present at the occasion.
