New Delhi: Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has been reportedly asked by the Indian cricket board to mention his choice of cricket coach, soon after the BCCI-appointed high-profile Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) completed the interview process of the applicants who had applied for the job.

Two legends of the game – Leg Spinner Anil Kumble and All-Rounder Ravi Shastri were the final two names out of the 21 which were shortlisted by the BCCI. The list was forwarded to Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman.
The Indian board is said to have consulted Kohli who is expected to send his confirmation by Wednesday.
Sources said that, along with some top officials from BCCI, two out of three members were rallying behind Anil Kumble as the head coach.
However, Kohli and other teams members are said to have often praised Shastri during his 18-month tenure as the team director.
The final result could be based on Kohli’s recommendation.
