Mysuru: The Mysore District Table Tennis Association will be conducting a state level “Canara Bank Cup” table tennis tournament at the University of Mysore Gymnasium Hall from November 10 to 13.

Matches will be held in different age categories: U-10, U-12, U-15, U-18 and U-21 for boys & girls and men & women. Those interested may send their entries on or before May 31. More than 200 players including the prominent ones will be seen in action during the three-day competition.

In the men’s section, Anirban Roy Choudary representing SKIES is top seeded in the tournament followed by Anirban Tarfdar from Canara Bank, V P Charan from SKIES, Anshuman Roy from AGORC who are ranked second, third and fourth respectively while in women’s section, local girl M V Spoorthy representing BNM is top ranked in the tournament followed by Samyukta from SBMJC, Sejal Kaushik from SKIES and Sushmitha Bidri from BNM stand second, third and fourth respectively.

T G Upadhya from Dharwad will be the referee for the tournament. This is first state level tournament being organised by Mysuru District Table Tennis Association this year. For details contact Mob: 9448750558.
