Bangalore:Royal Challengers Bangalore have quite a simple task at hand when they take on Kings XI Punjab in the IPL clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Tuesday. After the defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders in Ranchi, Bangalore are now left with no option but to win the remaining two games – against Punjab and Chennai Super Kings – at home if they fancy their chances of qualifying. After six wins in as many games at home, Bangalore embarked on a riotous journey, winning just two of eight games.

At present with 16 points from 14 games seems to to extend their dominance at home , where as With 10 points from 13 matches, Punjab are coming into the game after being outplayed by Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
At the top of the order cheteshwar pujara has been well appreciated. The over- dependence on chris gayle, virat kohli and de Villiers have made their position shaky. But these three openers have struggled on slow pitches like the one in Ranchi, where their stroke-making ability has been underseized.
Even the bowlers like Ravi Rampaul, Vinay Kumar, Murali Kartik and Jaydev Unadkat, have failed to fire in harmony and that has resulted in their few defeats.
On the Punjab side Adam Gilchrist, the captain, has failed to fire this season, things could look different for a team if he does get his act together. David Miller, has added a new facet to their batting as a superb finisher . In the bowling field Punjab have an bouncy and imaginative quick bowling unit like Praveen Kumar, Harmeet Singh and Sandeep Sharma. In Mohali on May 6, Miller single-handedly led Punjab to victory with his unbeaten 38-ball 101. Thus Bangalore would look to retaliate the loss.
