Bengaluru: Indian Cricket team captain Anil Kumble is surely thinking out of the box to improve the players’ level. After a day of Yoga sessions, Kumble took the whole team to Alur, a place 40 km away from Bengaluru for a unique challenge and guess who won the challenge. It was not Virat Kohli!
The players were first made to wear the white test kits instead of the usual training kits. For the batsmen, the challenge was to bat for ‘1 hour’ without getting out and for bowlers it was to get maximum wickets.
Surprisingly, when Test captain Virat Kohli got out twice in one hour, both times to Ravindra Jadeja, even Shikhar Dhawan and Murli Vijay could not put up for long. Ajinkya Rahane was the only batsmen to survive Jumbo’s ‘One-hour challenge’.
It can clearly be seen that the Indian cricket team, who has been busy playing T20 cricket for the past 6 months has a long way to go, before setting themselves up for the Test cricket season they are set to begin in West Indies.
