It is difficult for a film to run 25 days in theatres these days, with maximum business being done in the first two weeks after release. However, there have always been a few exceptions. Shivarajkumar starrer “Tagaru” is one such exception. The film will complete a 25-week-run next Friday.
The film is still running in Shantala theatre in Mysuru. Even in Bengaluru, it is running Sapna. No one expected that the film will run for so long. But Suri’s direction along with great music, characters and screenplay did the trick.
The film was marketed aggressively with all the actors chipping in to promote the film. K P Srikanth, a hardcore Shivanna fan turned into an independent producer with this film. He did not interfere in the creative aspects of the film at all. Moreover, he took a great risk by giving free hand to director and fans to promote the film.
The film starring Shivarajkumar, Dhananjaya, Manvitha, Bhavana and Vashistha in pivotal roles narrates the tale of an encounter specialist who takes on the underworld thug.
