The Kannada suspense-thriller “Anukta” will be released across Karnataka on February 1 and soon in the Gulf as well. Apart from starring Sampath Raj and Anu Prabhakar in the lead, the movie features Shirva’s very own Claude “Claudy” D’Leema in a negative role.

Claudy debuted as an actor in the Konkani film “Ek Aslyar Ek Na” and his role in “Anukta” is one of the biggest breaks in his career. Born in Shirva in the Udupi district, Claudy had developed a penchant for acting right from his younger days. He acted in Tulu films “Nirel” and “Gant Kalver”, in the Kannada film “Prerane” and in Kannada dramas and stage shows in Shirva, Udupi, Mangalore, Mumbai and the UAE. He presently works as a civil consultant for a reputed company in Abu Dhabi.

The trailer for “Anukta” is already out and has created a lot of buzz among the Kannada movie lovers. From the trailer, it can be seen that the story revolves around a mysterious murder and the ensuing chaos.

The cast of the film includes Sangeetha Bhat and Karthik among others. The film has been directed by Ashwath Samuel and produced by Harish Bangera.
