Much-awaited “Rocking Star” Yash starrer “KGF-2”, sequel of KGF is facing hurdles one after the other. The movie team is facing yet another legal consequence for allegedly portraying rowdy Thangam in a rather derogatory manner.

Rowdy Thangam’s mother Pouli has filed a case with the Judicial Magistrate of First Class (JMFC) court for allegedly portraying her son in grey shade.

According to Pouli, the movie team had assured of portraying her son in a positive manner, which, she claims has not been done.

“In the first part itself, they have portrayed the character of my son very negatively”, she said.

As a result, the JMFC second court has issued a notice to producer Vijay Kirgandur, director Prashanth Neel, BGML Company and president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce.

It can be recalled that when the movie team had decided to shoot on the Cynaide Mountains of the Kolar Gold Fields, as per the litigation filed in the court and a stay had been imposed on carrying out the shoot on the KGF mountains. Later, the Karnataka High Court had given relief to the movie team by quashing the stay order of the lower court.

Rowdy Thangam, who is the central character of the movie KGF was a notorious rowdy of Kolar Gold Fields in 1990s. According to the sources, in 1980s, Thangam had built his own gang and got involved in illegal activities. He was shot dead in a police encounter on December 27, 1997.
