It is a difficult task to bring to life on celluloid the slice of era bygone or films that have a strong cultural plot. However, ace Director T S Nagabharana has shown his finesse in this less taken avenue of film making and has shined brilliantly while narrating offbeat stories in a most convincing manner.
After making several award winning films, T S Nagabharana is now venturing to make film on Allama Prabhu, the 12th century mystic saint and vachana poet.

Nagabharana has won one extra brownie point for even thinking of making a movie like this in this ‘digital era’.

Named as ‘Allama’, Nagabharana has handpicked Dhananjay to essay the role of the famous saint in the film. Meghana Raj will play the role of Mayadevi, the lady who was enamoured by Allama Prabhu and brought a turning point in his life.

After producing films like Santha Shishunala Sharief, Mysuru Mallige and Nagamandala, Sri Hari Khode of Yajaman Enterprises is all set to produce ‘Allama’.

Litterateurs like Prathibha Nandakumar and Siddalingaiah have scripted dialogues and story for the film.

All in all one may have to wait and watch if life of Allama Prabhu will woo the film goers or not.
