Bengaluru: Kichcha Sudeep to follow the footsteps of Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta, not in acting but in cricket. Sudeep is all set to purchase a cricket team in Karnataka Premiere League (KPL) from KSCA. Within a few weeks, he will be a proud owner of the Shimoga team. Sudeep was part of KPL last year as the captain of film star’s team. This time he will not only be playing but will also own a team.

Sudeep takes cricket as seriously as his acting career and practices a lot during the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and KPL in which his team participates. As sources say that in his CCL team, he is the man who motivates every single player.

“In the cricket season, Sudeep reaches the nets at 5 in the morning and he wants everyone to be there on time for practice. He is very serious about it. He has great leadership qualities which a captain should have. He is aggressive, but takes the whole team with him. So we have won the CCL title and also played good cricket in KPL. Now it’s good news that he will own a team in KPL to support young cricketers from his district” a celebrity member from his star team said.

KPL is the brain child of KSCA and Brijesh Patel, former test cricketer and present general secretary of the board. It started after the IPL took the country by storm.
