Success and failure are two faces of the same coin. You never know which face comes first after it flips. This is even more in world of cinema. The best example for this is the life of the director of a superhit Kannada movie ‘Rama Rama Re’, Satyaprakash.
Satyaprakash’s movie ‘Rama Rama Re’ had performed seemingly well in the box office with double the returns. Producer Rockline Venkatesh too had produced a movie under the title ‘Atagadara Shiva’ in Telugu, with the same storyline.
But his second Kannada movie ‘Ondalla Eradalla’ did not fetch the amount of response than his first venture. However, this movie was appreciated by the media and critics.
Satyaprakash had invested Rs 10 Lakh from his side saying that it was half the share of profit of the movie. But eventually the producer had invested over Rs. 1.5 Crore.
Eventually the movie did not do well in the box office. Demotivated by this, Satyaprakash stayed away from the industry and spent time introspecting on the reason for failure.
Producer Umapati said that Satyprakash was a very humble person. He had not taken any payment for the work that he had done and that he was ready to do another cinema with him.
Satyaprakash had also spent all his savings and was under financial crisis for sometime. He managed to run his life by involving himself in correcting the scripts of other movies and by providing necessary inputs through which he earned minimum income.
However, he has clarified that he was already having one project this year and would definitely create a good script and approach producer Umapati next year.
Meanwhile, Satyaprakash who was not seen for quite sometime made his presence in a calendar release programme in Bengaluru.
