Sandalwood is going through lean phase, with almost all films released in June, failing in the box office. This can be called as worst month of the year so far, as of the 17 films released 16 have failed. Only “Aake”, which released on June 30 has managed to open well. The film has also got good response, which will help the film to pass safely to shores.

The film has a good story behind it which gives the characters depth and substance. The film is about Maya, who has died in a mental asylum in London. The film has brilliant performances by Chiranjeevi Sarja and Sharmiela Mandre. Supporting cast of Achyuth Kumar and Prakash Belawadi also impress.

The real hero of the film is Gurukiran. He has given one of the best background scores for horror Kannada film. K M Chaitanya has done a good job. Popular corporate Eros International has entered Sandalwood with this film. The word of mouth of the film is good and the box office collections of the film is expected to increase in coming days.
