OMRON Healthcare India, a prominent player in medical equipment for home health monitoring and treatment, has joined hands with AliveCor India, a leading provider of personal electrocardiogram (ECG) technology. This collaboration expands OMRON’s offerings to include AI-based handheld ECG technology, complementing its existing range of blood pressure monitors in India.

This partnership signifies a significant step towards OMRON’s mission of enhancing cardiovascular health awareness and preventing incidents. It introduces innovative devices such as the first home BPM+ECG Monitoring FDA cleared Device, capable of detecting early signs of CardioVascular Disease (CVD), including atrial fibrillation (Afib), bradycardia, and tachycardia.

Recognizing the evolving landscape of cardiovascular health, OMRON aims to address not only hypertension but also conditions like Afib, which significantly contribute to the risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease. Afib, characterized by irregular heartbeats, poses a substantial risk of stroke due to blood clot formation.

Tetsuya Yamada, Managing Director of OMRON Healthcare India, emphasizes the importance of monitoring both ECG and blood pressure at home to enable early management of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular health conditions like stroke. The collaboration with AliveCor aligns with OMRON’s vision of eliminating cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease episodes by providing innovative technologies for accurate and accessible home and remote patient monitoring.

Anuj Seth, Managing Director of AliveCor India, underscores the commitment to delivering advanced cardiac care through mobile technology and extending access to remote patient care. The partnership with OMRON Healthcare India expands the reach of AliveCor’s products, contributing to saving more lives through enhanced cardiac care.
