Qatar :Mr. Ravi Shetty has been unanimously elected as the President of Tulu Koota Qatar, during the 7th general body meeting held recently to elect the new management committee for the period of 2014 – 2016.
The annual general meeting was started at 9.00AM at ICC centre Bangalore Hall, outgoing president seetharam shetty adore the dias along with vice president Asmath Ali and all other committee members. Seetharam shetty gave the introductory speech and lauded the services of the outgoing committee members for their dedication and hard work during his tenure.
Outgoing general secretary Sudhir Kotian presented the annual report. Outgoing treasurer Vivian D’Souza presented the audited financial report which was later approved by the members.
ICC advisory council chairman K.M Varghese returning officer of AGM dissolved the previous committee. Changes were also made regarding elections, according to member’s suggestions.
The newly elected president Ravi Shetty appealed to all the members for their continued support and co-operation. He assured members that the new team would give more priority towards charity and other socio-cultural activities.
Ravi Shetty, a well-known philanthropist and founder member has served as vice-president and later as president of Tulu Koota Qatar during 2008-2010. Ravi shetty is hailing from Doninjeguthu family in Mangalore and also a founder president of Bunts Qatar.
Executive committee members who have served Tulu Koota Qatar since its inception were honored with mementos for their selfless service.
Sudhir Kotian proposed vote of thanks. Charismatic Dr. Padmashree Shetty compered the entire event.
The New Management Committee for the year 2014 – 2016 was officially announced.
