UAE: Gammath Kalavider in association with Blue Berry Events presented Tulu’s super hit drama Telikeda Barsolu to an overwhelming applause from the audience.
Initially written, directed and enacted by Telikeda Bolli Devadas Kapikad, Telikeda Barsolu was the second drama by him which was presented by local artistes at UAE.
The drama was directed by Vishwanath Shetty of Gammath Kalavider. The mind blowing music of the drama was composed by Guru Bayar. Suvarna Satish, Jesh Bayar, Dony Corea, Chidanand Poojary, Deepak Shetty, Girish Narayan, Ramesh Suvarna, Sunil Suvarna, Sandeep Barke, Monappa Poojary, Lavina Fernandes, Santhosh Poojary, Deepthi Salian, Rajesh Kuttar and other artistes put up a wonderful performance and entertained the audience with rib tickling comedy supported by humorous dialogues.
The function kick-started with a formal stage function involving the lighting of the traditional lamp. Patron of Gammath Kalavider and Chief of Dubai Source Harish Bangera and Latha Bangera, President of Fortune Group of Hotels Praveen Shetty, Chief of Merit Freight LLC Joseph Mathias, MD of ACME Building Materials Harish Sherigar, Chief of Mosaco Shipping Frank Fernandes, actors Devadas Kapikad and Sharmila Kapikad, Praveen Bhat, businessman Jerry Lobo, President of Abudhabi Karnataka Sangha Sarvottam Shetty and Chief of Gammath Kalavider Suvarna Satish were present on the dais.
Gammath Kalavider honoured Devadas Kapikad for his great work and contribution to Tulu drama and movie industry. Devadas Kapikad was presented with a shawl, flowers and a memento by the guests present on the stage.
Addressing the audience later, Devadas Kapikad expressed his happiness for the love and blessings given by Tulu drama lovers. “A true famous artiste is one who lives like he is not a celebrity,” he said. Further he was appreciative of the great work done by Gammath Kalavider to entertain the drama lovers as well as the support given by UAE drama lovers. He concluded his address by requesting everyone’s support and love for all Tulu dramas and movies.
Sampath Shetty and Nithin Kumar too were honoured for their selfless service towards Tulu events and social works on the occasion.
Ace singer and Kannada movie producer Harish Sherigar rendered a few beautiful numbers of Kannada hits. He also announced his new upcoming movie March 22 and requested support from everyone.
The sponsors and supporters of the event were honoured by chief of Gammath Kalavider Suvarna Satish with shawls and mementos. Suvarna Satish welcomed and thanked each and everyone for making Telikeda Barsolu a grand success. Sampath Shetty and Rajesh Kuttar compered the programme.
