Ramesh Panicker elected new president of ISC Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: India Social and Cultural Centre celebrated it’s 48th Anniversary here on April 9 at the ISC main auditorium.

The programme started with the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected office bearers for the year 2015-16. The new office bearers of ISC, Ramesh Panicker President, Dr Raja Balakirshna Vice President, M A SalamGeneral Secretary, Saji Kumar Assistant Secretary, T N Krishnan Treasurer,Dileep Assistant Treasurer, Joseph George Entertainment Secretary, RajeshSridharan Nair Assistant Entertainment Secretary, Godfrey P Antony Literature Secretary, C George Varghese Sports Secretary, Mohamed Yonus UsmanAssistant Sports Secretary, Suresh Kumar Auditor and Mohamed Sali Shafi Assistant Auditor took oath in the presence of Ambassador of India to UAE T P Seetharam who administered the oath to these Office bearers.

ISC Gen Secretary Abul Salam welcomed the gathering. ISC President Ramesh Panickar delivered the presidential address. Vice President Dr Raja Balakrishna delivered the vote of thanks.

T P Seetharam in his speech inspired the members about India’s “Clean Ganga“ Project and requested people to contribute towards the project. As an initial contribution towards Clean Ganga Project, members of India Social and Cultural Centre collected Rs 1 lakh. Arthur D’Souza, Member of ISC board of Directors also contributed Rs 1Lakh towards the project.

Sudheer Kumar Shetty, President of UAE Exchange and Dr Naveen Kumar, Manager of Air India, Abu Dhabi were felicitated during the programme. A farewell programme was organized for the members retiring from ISC during the occasion. The formal function was followed by cultural programme.
