Dubai: Namma Kundapra Kannada Balaga Gulf, a dedicated association of likeminded people from Kundapura and its surrounding region, working towards empowerment and the unity of their people residing in Gulf region was inaugurated by dignitaries at Ramee Regent hotel Dubai on Friday,March 31.

Patron of NKKBG Varadaraj Shetty – chief of Ramee group of hotels, Honorary president of NKKBG Praveen Kumar Shetty – president of Fortune group of Hotels, Member of Karnataka Legislative assembly and president of KSRTC Gopala Poojary, Jayaprakash Hegde – former member of Parliament and Sukhanand Shetty – business partner of Chithari group of company were the guest of honor for the inaugural ceremony and along with president of NKKBG Sadhan Das they lit the traditional lamp.

Speaking to the guests after the inaugural function Varadaraj Shetty expressed his happiness for creating a platform for unity of Kundapura people. He advised all new entrepreneurs and young employees who are working in various sectors in Gulf to be dedicated and gain excellence in their field to achieve success in life adding that they need to upgrade themselves with new educational as well as technological inventions which will help them to stay ahead in the present competitive world.

Honorary president of NKKBG Praveen Shetty congratulated all committee members of NKKBG for coming together with the aim to help their people back home. Praveen Shetty said, many talented and successful businessmen of Kundapura and their nearby places have achieved great success in their business field. He called the members to reach them and come under one roof so that through unity they can reach and help more people who are in need of help and assistance. Further he mentioned all businessmen are always ready to give jobs to local candidates back home but thecandidates should be qualified and take the self-initiative to reach us to find out if any positions are available and it should not become a spoon-fed job opportunity for them.

President of KSRTC Gopala Poojary thanked for having invited him to the inaugural function of NKKBG and expressed his happiness to NKKBG. He said that the government of Karnataka is committed to ensure comprehensive development of each place in Karnataka. As a member of legislative assembly he assured his commitment towards development of his constituency. He added that as the president of KSRTC, he had introduced some new government bus routes in Kundapura and its neighboring places and he will look into the possibility of starting an air conditioned bus services between Mangaluru International airport and Kundapura.

Former Member of Parliament Jayaprakash Hegde said that presently central government readily provided assistance to NRI’s living in other countries. Mentioning that he would communicate and follow up with central government ministers and the concerned authorities about the requirements of Karnataka’s coastal belt NRI’s who were working in Gulf and were facing issues related to immigration, airport, flights, passport and others he added that he would ease the life of gulf NRI’s who are specially travelling from Mangaluru Intl airport. Also he raised his concern to have an airport near Byndoor, that will help people of Udupi and Uttara Kannada district to make air travel easier. He urged the leaders of NKKBG to write a memorandum to central ministry highlighting their concerns along with requirement of full-fledged immigration counter at Mangaluru which will be helpful to thousands of people of Coastal belt.

Businessman Sukhanand Shetty expressed his happiness for inviting him for such a wonderful summit where all successful and emerging entrepreneurs and business executives are united under one roof. He said, India have infinite possibilities for business and many NRI’s are invested in India as well as they have established their business excellence in Gulf region.
