Dubai: ‘Udentichin Neketram’ Moodbidri Varado Catholic Association organized ‘Family Games Day’ on February 5, 2016 in Dubai.

It was a complete family event where people from all age groups exhibited their skills in different games and enjoyed throughout the day.

The event started with a prayer led by Joshve D’souza. Then gathering was divided into six groups, each group inclusive of men, women and children. Games like Badminton, cricket, throwball, Volleyball, south Canara’s rural game Lagori and last but not least, Tug of war, were played between these teams.

In the end ‘Team red’ was crowned as champions for their winning performance in most of the games.

The Badminton doubles final was won by Clifford Danthis-Keith Suares while Joshve D’souza-Sunny Rodrigues became runner ups. Exciting fun games were conducted for children of different age groups by Richard Saldanha.

It was a joyous atmosphere where all the participants spent some quality time among the community members, sharing some light moments and giving relaxing after a hectic week by partaking in these exciting and light hearted games.

MVCA President Cyprian Fernandes, along with MVCA committee members honoured the winners with medals and prizes.

Vinay Pinto compered the prize distribution ceremony while Ullas Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks.
