Doha-Qatar: Mangalore Cultural Association, a social cultural association affiliated to ICC conducted its Annual General Meeting on 1St April, at Ashoka Hall-ICC, Qatar.
MCA Qatar president Arthur Pais and Vice president Aloysius Dsouza along with the Treasurer Clement Saldanha and General Secretary Sandeep Noronha escorted the Advisory Board members Felix Lobo, Joackim Dsouza and Jerry Pinto to the Dias.
President Arthur Pais in his welcome keynote address thanked all the supporters and well-wishers for their support for the last 8 years of organisation success. He tentatively announced upcoming program of the association.
Thereafter secretary Sandeep Noronha read out annual activities report, treasurer Clement Saldanha read out yearly financial reports of the association. Both the reports without any member’s objection were approved.
Speaking on the occasion Jerry Pinto said that MCA has carried out many selfless service and will continue to do so under the patronage of Mother Teresa. Joackim Dsouza recollected MCA’s imprints among community back to motherland; he also appreciated Felix Lobo for his selfless service towards poor people. Addressing the members, Felix lobo showed his gratitude towards all the back bone supporters.
Thereafter committee member John Pinto carried out some spot games to the members, winners were awarded with attractive gifts. Sandeep Noronha and Aloysius performed rib tickling skit. Alponse Dsilva entertained the audience with his melodious voice by few of his own composition from his latest released album “Tum Kai Asai”.
Qatar Konkani upcoming female singer Carol Dsouza joined Alphonse with ‘Mog Karinya’ number. Alphonse, Wilson, Neil Dsilva and Ullas Dsouza sang the Konkani ‘Mai-sunnechi Ladai’ song.
Carol Dsouza compered the program with high command on Konkani, Hema Fernandes proposed vote of thanks.
The program concluded with sumptuous dinner arranged by MCA team.
