KMCA all set to organize 3rd Tipu Sultan Cup on 18th April

Qatar: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association, a frontline community group aegis to ICC is set to organize its 3rd edition of annual cricket tournament ‘Tipu Sultan Cup’ on 18th April to 21st April 2016 at Old Ideal Indian School ground.

Speaking to the media, KMCA President Niyaz Ahmed revealed that, the inauguration of the tournament will be conducted on 18th April 2016 at 6:30pm at Old Ideal Indian School Ground and Padmashri Girisha H N and Surjeet Singh (Paralympic Athletes) will be gracing the function as guests of honor.

The final will be played on 21st April 2016 and the Hon’ble Minister for Youth, Sports and Fisheries – Government of Karnataka Abhayachandra Jain will be the Guest of Honor for the day.

This year, eight teams from Karnataka will be participating in the tournament and will be fighting for the prestigious ‘Tipu Sultan Cup’. The teams are as follows:

1. Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association
2. Karnataka Sangha Qatar
3. Tulu Koota
4. Bunts Qatar
5. South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association
6. Indian Friend Circle (Karnataka Chapter)
7. Social Forum Qatar
8. Qatar Karnataka Friends

Niyaz told that there are lucky prizes for spectators. On behalf of KMCA, Committee President Niyaz invited all Qatar cricket lovers to encourage the teams.
