Dubai: UAE’s most prestigious association, UAE Bunts honoured famous Yakshagana artist and promoter, speaker, comperer Kadri Navanith Shetty with Banta Vibhooshana award herein Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dubai at the 42nd annual get together of UAE Bunts.
Patron of UAE Bunts and chief of NMC hospitals, Dr B R Shetty along with other dignitaries conferred the prestigious award to Navanith Shetty. Speaking on the occasion, Kadri Navanith Shetty expressed his happiness for choosing him for the prestigious award. He said, “UAE Bunts made the whole Bunts community feel proud with their selfless service towards their community and their contribution towards our culture.”
Adding to his conclusion, Navanith Shetty said, “We are from agricultural based families, where at present, all our land is kept empty as our community people are not interested with agriculture. Herewith I would like to request you all to support your family members to utilize the land to re-create the agricultural heritage which will save our culture and love for mother land.”
Dr B R Shetty was the president of the event. Speaking to the audience he said everyone to work hard to excel in life and to be a role model to their children to achieve success. He also congratulated the organizing committee of UAE Bunts for organizing the 42nd get together in a beautiful way.
The special attraction of the event was “Bunt Perfect Jodi” competition. Nine married couples who were married after January 2006 were selected by auditions and participated in the competition. They performed their skills and received a grand applause from the audience.
Famous speaker and chief conveyor of Jago Bharat campaign Chakravarti Soolibele narrated the richness of India and global values of our nation. He appreciated all Indians who were working in different nations of the world for making India proud with their dedication and service.
Dance competition was organised to provide platform to talented budding children of bunts community. Folk dance and cinematic folk dance were presented by various teams. Apart from the competitions, members presented many cinematic dances, singing talents to the audience and were well appreciated by everyone.
Dr B R Shetty along with Dr Chandrakumari Shetty and Binay Shetty honoured the sponsors of the event. UAE Exchange president Sudhir Kumar Shetty, Fortune Group of Hotels president Praveen Kumar Shetty, Heat Sheild LLC chief Premanath Shetty, Ace Cranes Managing Director Gunasheel Shetty, Arab Udupi Restaurants chief Shekhar Shetty and other dignitaries were honored with shawl and memento.
Chief conveyor of UAE Bunts Sarvottam Shetty introduced the organizing committee to the audience and also introduced the new organizing committee for the coming year. UAE bunts honoured the bunt students who showed excellent performance in their academic, sports and cultural activities. Sampath Shetty compered the program.
