Abu Dhabi: India Social & Cultural Centre (ISC), Abu Dhabi, the premier socio-cultural organization and the apex body of the registered Indian associations in the capital city of Abu Dhabi in UAE is celebrating its 49th Anniversary on 1st April, 2016 at 8.30 pm.
Dr. Ram Buxani, Chairman ITL-Cosmos Group and former chairman of India Club and Indian High School, Dubai will be the Chief Guest. Dr. B.R. Shetty, Vice Chairman of ISC will also grace the function.
Swearing-in-Ceremony of the newly elected Office Bearers of ISC will be held during the function followed by Anniversary Celebrations.
Entertaining program lead by leading Band Bongosand dance performance by leading artists are also been planed. More than 1800 members are expected to attend the function.
First Secretary of Embassy of India to UAE Pavan Kumar Rai will also be attending the event. The programme will be followed by dinner.
The genesis of ISC is traced to 1967 from the shared vision of a band of pioneering Indians to create a centre for social, cultural and philanthropic activities, and a link to the cultural roots and memories of their homeland for the Indians, located in Abu Dhabi, the emerging land of opportunities.
ISC has grown strength to strength and has become a home away from home for the Indian Diaspora, serving as a venue for the Indian community for a wide range of social, cultural, literary, educational, recreational and philanthropic activities. From being a small association of like minded Indians in 1967 ISC has grown leaps and bounds. It has a premises of 100,000 sqft area with state of the art facility which caters for the community’s Cultural, health and literary needs.
