Mysuru: The Mysuru Palace Administrative Board is all set to take control of the parking facilities here.

As per Administrative Board Director Indiramma, they have discovered that there have been several misappropriations over the last four years with regard to Palace parking contract.
Large number of tourists come to Amba Vilas Palace on a daily basis. The vehicles of the tourists and visitors are given parking slots near Maramma Temple near the palace.
The management and fee collection is often given to private individuals after floating tender. But, it is now learnt one individual has been winning the tender for the same over the last four years.
The contractor has been facing several charges of violating the palace rules.
In this regard, the Board has decided to take control of parking facilities.
It is said that Board officials are hand in gloves with the contractor, who has won the bid this year for Rs 64 lakhs.
The contract was scrapped off on March 31 and the Board will take charge from April 1.
