Dubai: Well-known political personality of Karnataka, Member of Legislative assembly of Karnataka and “Vajpayee of Kundapura” fame Halady Shrinivas Shetty was honored by Kannada based associations of UAE and his well-wishers here in Fortune Plaza Hall at Fortune Plaza hotel, Al Qusais on Thursday, November 3.
The felicitation program was arranged by famous entrepreneur and chairman of Fortune group of Hotels, Praveen Shetty. The ceremony was inaugurated by lighting of the traditional lamp. MLA Halady Shrinivas Shetty, chairman of Fortune group of Hotels Praveen Shetty, Chief of Ramee group of Hotels Varadaraj Shetty, president of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha Sarvottam Shetty, M E Moolur of BCF, Director of Reliable fabricators James Mendonca and coordinator of event Prabhakar Ambalatere were present.
Praveen Shetty who addressed the gathering said that it was his long time wish to welcome his most respected politician Halady to Dubai. He thanked him for accepting his invitation and gracing the function. Shetty further added, Halady Shrinivas Shetty never accepted any felicitations in his life. The only felicitation what all Kannadigas present him is pure love and respect to his clean political career, said Shetty.
Varadaraj Shetty remembered the moments that he spent with Halady and appreciated him for his selfless service towards humanity and the needy. He also expressed his happiness for being a role model for all politicians of the nation.
After receiving the felicitation, Halady Shrinivas Shetty shared his incidents in life as politician and said that he always tried to be a common man to common people. He also remembered the love and affection shown by the people of his constituency. He thanked them for making him a member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly for four times continuously. Halady stated that a clean image and good work towards society are always recognized by people and they had never abandoned him.
President of function, Sarvottam Shetty wished all success and good health to Halady Shrinivas Shetty. Sarvottam Shetty further added that all politicians should follow the footsteps of MLA Halady for the goodness of society and mankind.
