Dubai: The most awaited ‘Goencho Avaz’ musical show entralled the konkani music lovers of Dubai here on March 10, 2016 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School, Oud Mehta Road, Dubai.

The event started at 9pm with the opening song “Goa”. All super hit yesteryear Goan hits of 1968 were sung by the top contestants of the popular reality show “Goencho Awaz”.
The singers included Anslem Fernandes, Assenca Fernandes, Divya Naik, Everleigh Mascarenhas, Frenzie Vito Rodrigues, Valerie Fernandes, Shunaina Baptista, Karishma Chari, Raiza Pereira, Loy D’Silva and Siyani Fernandes who mesmerized the audience with their soulful voices.
Band Ramiro with Ramio Mascarenhas on Trumpet and Keyboard, Jackson Mascarenhas on Tenor saxophone, Philip Fernandes on Trumpet, Varghese KV on Trombone, Celso Soores on Bass Guitar and Victor Antaogave on drums gave their best to keep the show live.
The super numbers sung by ‘Nightingale of Goa’ Lorna Cordeiro was the centre of attraction. Her entry to the stage with the song ‘Dennem’ was welcomed by the audience with standing ovation and continuous claps. She entertained the crowd to the maximum with her signature top songs and her evergreen voice which the Goans admire the most.
During the programme, the Master of ceremony Agnelo (Borim) invited main organizer of the event Glenn Ebnett, his wife Atila Ebnett, Zeveria Rashid, Roy Pereira, Ronnie Lewis, Ringo Cajie and Anita Pai to the dais. He welcomed all the guests and audience and thanked all of them for their support to host the musical show.
The event was organised by Herald Group in association with Events Unlimited under the production of Ringo Cajie.
Zeveria Rasheed speaking on the occasion said that even if she could not understand konkani she could feel the music and enjoyed it the most.
